How to Care for Your Outdoor Sesbania Grandiflora

☀️ Light

• Prefers full sunlight for healthy growth and flowering.

• Provide around 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily.

• Enough sunlight encourages strong branches, healthy green leaves, and better flower production.

• Suitable for the UAE's sunny climate, although young plants may need temporary protection during extreme summer heat.

💧 Water

• Water thoroughly when the top 3–5 cm of soil feels dry.

• Requires regular, moderate watering to support its fast growth and flowering.

• Young plants need consistent watering to develop strong and healthy roots.

• Increase watering during hot summer months, depending on soil moisture and weather conditions.

• Avoid allowing the soil to become completely dry for long periods.

• Ensure the soil has good drainage to prevent root problems.

🌡️ Temperature

• Grows best in warm temperatures between 20–35°C.

• Suitable for the UAE's outdoor climate with proper watering and care.

• Can tolerate hot weather, but extreme heat may cause stress, especially in young plants.

• Protect from frost and unusually cold temperatures.

• During very hot weather, provide enough water to help maintain healthy growth.

💦 Humidity

• Prefers moderate to high humidity but can grow in warm outdoor conditions with proper care.

• Normal outdoor humidity is generally sufficient when soil moisture is maintained.

• During extremely hot and dry weather, provide regular watering to prevent leaves from wilting.

• Good airflow helps keep the leaves healthy and reduces the risk of fungal problems.

🌱 Fertilizer

• Apply a balanced fertilizer every 6–8 weeks during active growth, following the product instructions.

• Light feeding helps maintain healthy leaves, strong branches, and beautiful flowers.

• Avoid using too much fertilizer, as the plant naturally grows quickly.

• As a legume, it can obtain nitrogen through its roots, so it generally requires less nitrogen fertilizer.

• Reduce fertilizing during cooler months or periods of slow growth.
